On Saturday 17 March 2018, the labyrinth was officially opened by the Mayor of Trafford (Councillor Jonathan Coupe) in the presence of members of the Friends Group, the Japanese Gardens Society, and Dr. Mitra Doherty.

The first Arts and Crafts Fair will be held in the Gardens on Sunday 25 March 2018 from 1pm to 4pm. Wide range of stalls and refreshments. The Friends Group will be selling beer from the dovecote. Entrance FREE!
