The latest Friends of Walkden Gardens project is to install a labyrinth just beyond the far end of the wisteria arch.
A labyrinth is a sort of maze but without hedges. For many people walking the labyrinth has a mystical or religious meaning; for others it is just fun.
The project is being party financed by a generous personal donation and by a grant of £1,500 from “Make Sale Smile”.
However, the Friends Group will have to meet a large part of the cost.

On Thursday 26 October 2017 work started on Phase 1 of the construction of the labyrinth.
Work continuing on the construction of the labyrinth in the second week of January 2018.
