AGM at The Moorfield Hotel Upper Room (131 Marsland Road, Sale, M33 3NW) at 7.30pm on Monday 17 June 2019. In addition to hearing reports and electing the Committee, there will be an interesting talk by Dave Rome on bees and bee keeping. It promises to be a good evening, so make a note of it and come and have a glass of wine (or soft drink) with us.

Members of the Friends Group are very sorry to hear of the recent death of Ron Holt.
Ron, together with his boss Louis Bell, created Walkden Gardens when they both worked for Sale Borough Council and later Trafford Council. Ron used to get in trouble for spending too much time working in the Gardens when he should have been working in the Council greenhouses.
His funeral will be at 12.45pm on 2 April at Altrincham Crematorium.
The Friends extend their sincere condolences to Ron’s wife Barbara and his family.
In March 2019 Rob Frier, one of the members of the Friends of Walkden Gardens, gave a local troop of Beaver Scouts a conducted tour of the Gardens.
